About Us

Founded in November 2010, the Southwest Affordable Housing Group is a non-profit industry association that proudly represents individuals and organizations that develop, own, manage and provide goods and services to the affordable housing industry throughout New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Utah and Colorado. Our members manage over 95% of all Rural Development properties and 80% of all HUD properties in the State of New Mexico.

SWAHG is committed to promoting a high degree of professionalism for rental housing providers. We sponsor educational courses, deliver comprehensively reviewed property management forms, and speak with a united voice to local and state governments on behalf of the affordable housing industry to ensure our members the best operating environment possible.

Our Members Make the Difference

As a member-driven organization, SWAHG develops and executes training and development opportunities that serve members and non-members alike. From our yearly conference and quarterly trainings to our continually reviewed set of rental forms, SWAHG equips residential property managers and developers with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure success.

Our members are informed of key industry issues, have the opportunity for training and networking and play a defining role in the future of the affordable housing industry through their participation with the Southwest Affordable Housing Group
